Ford has widened the Endeavour’s appeal by including an optional electric panoramic sunroof on the 2.2L variant. Prices for the Endeavour 2.2L start at Rs 25,64,700, while the sunroof-equipped variant can be bought, in the fully loaded spec, for Rs 29,57,200. All prices are ex-showroom.
Available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the 2.2-litre four-cylinder Duratorq engine produces 157 bhp and 39.28 kgm, but surprises with an average fuel economy of 12.62 kpl. Other features include up to seven airbags, SYNC 3 infotainment system, flexible seating, etc.
For those looking to take the Endeavour off the road, there’s also the 4×4-equipped 3.2L variant. The five-cylinder engine makes 197 bhp and 47.95 kgm, and despite being a diesel, it has a characterful noise. Of course, the cabin remains fairly comfortable thanks to the Active Noise Cancellation. There’s also a Terrain Management System available with said variant to make off-roading a tad easier. Regardless of the variant you choose, the Endeavour is available with handsome styling, decent ride and handling, and a total of five colour choices.
Ford India’s Executive Director for Marketing, Sales, and Service, Vinay Raina said, “Being the most awarded vehicle in its segment, Ford Endeavour truly surpasses what consumers expect from a premium SUV. The introduction of Electric Panoramic Sunroof on 2.2L variant further reinforces our commitment to meet and exceed customer expectations.” He further continued, “With the introduction of Sunroof on 2.2L Variant, we have enabled customers to have the perfect combination of style, comfort, space, smart in-car technology, outstanding fuel economy and unparalleled ownership experience.”
