Unruly and showing no regard to the society, a Lamborghini Huracán Performante was found topless at the ongoing Geneva International Motor Show. On being questioned on the behaviour, phrases such as fresh-air exhilaration were used. The show-goers complained of going weak at the knees at the sight, while an ongoing enquiry reveals something more serious underneath.
A 35 kilo weight reduction over the standard Huracán Spyder, a 0-100 kph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 325 kph are some of the key findings. Further investigation reveals a 0-200 kph time of 9.3 seconds and a braking prowess that decelerates it from 100-0 kph in just 31.5 m.
Like its coupe counterpart, the Huracán Performante Spyder is powered by a 630-bhp-producing 5.2-litre V10. Weighing just 1.5 tonnes, the car comes with permanent four-wheel drive, and boasts a 43:57 weight distribution.
The Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva that debuted on the Performante coupe isn’t hampered by the soft top, mentions the company. Other features carried over from the coupe include an enhanced suspension, recalibrated ESC, more responsive Lamborghini Dynamic Steering, Lamborghini’s drive modes, etc.
The Huracán Performante Spyder’s roof comes with an electro-hydraulic mechanism and just takes 17 seconds to open, at speeds up to 50 kph. Deliveries will begin this summer.
