Hero MotoCorp has a variety of products for the commuter, and with the frequent updates, it’s ensured to stay in news as well. A few days after announcing the ‘new’ Super Splendor, the company has launched the MY2018 versions of other two of its commuters: the Passion Pro and Passion XPro.
Priced at Rs 53,189 (ex-showroom), the Hero Passion Pro (pictured above) will be available in five colour schemes, and both drum and optional disc-brake-equipped variants. It’s powered by a 110 cc engine that makes 9.38 bhp@7500 rpm and 0.91 kgm@7500 rpm. The motorcycle can do a 0-60 kph in 7.45 seconds, claims the company. Other features include AHO, side-stand indicator, digital-analogue meter, etc. And there’s of course the company’s stop-start system, called i3S.
The Passion XPro, priced at Rs 54,189 (also, ex-showroom) uses the same engine and features but focusses more on style. Hence the colour choices on this (also five) are more sporting. And there are a few aesthetic changes, too, like the headlamp, tank shrouds, rear tyre hugger, etc.
Hero MotoCorp’s Head of Sales and Customer Care, Ashok Bhasin said, “Hero MotoCorp is the clear market leader with over 50% market share in the domestic motorcycle market in India, and also leads the 100-110cc segment with over 75% market share. Passion is the second largest selling motorcycle brand in the country, behind Hero’s Splendor brand. The Passion 100cc has been currently growing at around 20%. We are confident that the launch of these two new generation Passion 110cc motorcycles will further consolidate our leadership in the domestic motorcycle market.”
