Jaguar Land Rover has launched the Range Rover Evoque Convertible in India. Carrying a sticker price of Rs 69.53 lakh (ex-showroom), it has the distinction of being the only SUV convertible in the market. The Evoque Convertible shares its underpinnings with the standard Evoque, but instead of a five-door layout, this one comes with a 3-door configuration with a slightly smaller boot. It comes with a retractable soft-top that is acoustically insulated and can fold flush in 18 seconds. The SUV also features a wind deflector that helps to reduce the air draft when driving with the top down. Also, for additional safety, the SUV gets a pop-up roll bar which deploys in case of an accident.
The Evoque Convertible is available in only one variant – HSE Dynamic. Power to all four wheels will be received from the 2-litre Si4 petrol motor that makes 237 bhp and 43.84 kgm. And paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, it will help the Evoque accelerate from 0-100 kph in 9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 195 kph.
For the feature-list, this SUV convertible gets 18-inch alloy wheels, Adaptive LED headlamps, ambient lighting, navigation, InControl Touch Pro Navigation system and a Meridian 10 speaker surround sound system.
