Volkswagen has launched ‘Cup Edition’ variants of its popular cars: the Polo, Ameo, and Vento, ahead of the upcoming World Cup 2019.
The launch coincides with the #GermanyCheersForIndia campaign that VW India is currently running. The special edition models get new leatherette seat covers, chrome badges, body graphics, and alloy wheels.
Director for Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Steffen Knapp said, “In India, cricket is not merely a sport, but a religion. It is the equivalent of Soccer in Germany. World over, for Volkswagen, sport has played an integral part of our business. It not only brings in unity across the country but also displays passion, inspiration and excitement.”
The Cup Edition variants are priced at Rs 6.49 (Polo), Rs 6.19 lakh (Ameo), and Rs 9.24 lakh (Vento).
