The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2020 has kicked off recently and there’s already been a significant concept-reveal from a major automaker. We’re talking about the e:concept; an SUV which provides a glimpse at Honda’s first electric vehicle destined for mass-production. Also, this will be its first electric vehicle to be introduced in China.
Furthermore, the e:concept could very well be Honda’s first step in developing a mass-production EV model. In terms of equipment, all we know is that it will be equipped with omnidirectional advanced driver-assistive systems (ADAS) and Honda SENSING for greater safety along with Honda CONNECT. As the names suggest, the latter is related to connected car features like an AI assistant interface, smartphone link and wireless updates.
All of this comes under Honda’s global 2030 Vision, which the company hopes will boost the realization of a carbon-free and collision-free society by adopting sustainable technologies for the future. It looks like things are shaping up rather well for Honda and it’s all-new electric SUV. What do you make of Honda’s new electric concept?
