TVS is on some kind of launch spree as it launches yet another machine, the updated Apache RTR 160 4V along with a special edition. The updated Apache RTR 160 4V now comes with three riding modes (urban, sport, and rain), a radial rear tyre, a gear shift indicator on the instrument cluster and, if you haven’t noticed it already, a restyled headlamp and DRL design. But, it’s the special edition that gets more goodies like adjustable clutch and brake levers apart from all the visual updates.
Speaking of the special edition variant’s visual updates, it is available in a matte black paint scheme with gloss red alloy wheels. Also, it gets the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity feature. This feature is also available on the Apache RTR 160 4V with (rear disc). We recently rode the BS6 updated version, you can read about it here.
Now, the Apache RTR 160 4V is available with a rear drum brake for Rs 1.16 lakh. Add in another couple of thousand and you can upgrade to the rear disc variant for Rs 1.17 lakh. Whereas the top-spec variant with rear disc and Bluetooth connectivity is priced for Rs 1.20 lakh, while the special edition variant is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). We’ll need to have another go at this updated Apache RTR 160 4V to know whether it still rides the same as its predecessor that we recently rode. Stay tuned!
