Hyundai has confirmed that the Venue facelift will launch in India on the 16th of June, 2022. The new Venue gets a revised radiator grille with chrome inserts. It also gets a rectangular air dam with a faux skid plate. The car retains the split headlamp set-up with a few revisions. At the rear, it further gets new L-shaped connecting LED tail-lights that stretch across the width of the car.
The rear bumper of the Venue has also been redesigned and incorporates a black insert with position lamps on either side. The mid-size SUV is expected to get a sunroof and also dual-tone alloy wheels. It further includes a roof-mounted spoiler, functional roof rails and a shark-fin antenna.
The new Venue will probably get the same engine options as the current model. These include a 998cc turbo-petrol producing 118 bhp and 17.5 kgm, 1.2-litre petrol producing 82 bhp and 11.7 kgm and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 99 bhp and 24.4 kgm. Transmission options comprise a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The new Venue will compete with the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Maruti Brezza. Hyundai is attempting to make its products resonate with a younger consumer base, by using the theme ‘Live the Lit life’.
