TVS has launched the updated version of the Apache RTR 160 and the Apache RTR 180. Both motorcycles see an enhanced power-to-weight ratio in comparison to the previous iterations. There is a weight reduction of 2 kgs in TVS Apache RTR 160 and 1 kg in TVS Apache RTR 180. The Apache RTR 160 is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh whereas the Apache RTR 180 costs Rs 1.31 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi).
These new bikes get revised aesthetics and look more modern and cooler. Both bikes get a new LED headlamp along with a taillight setup. They feature an advanced Bluetooth-enabled fully digital instrument cluster and SmartXonnect technology with Voice Assist, to further enhance the ride experience. The motorcycles also get three ride modes namely Rain, Urban and Sport. They also get an X-ring chain, wider 120-mm rear tyre, gear position indicator and TVS Connect App with new a UI/UX.
The Apache RTR 160 is powered by the same 160cc single-cylinder two-valve air-cooled engine that produces 15 bhp and peak torque of 1.41 kgm at 7000 rpm. This motor comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Apache RTR 180 on the other hand gets its power from a 180cc single-cylinder two-valve air-cooled motor which makes 17 bhp and peak torque of 1.58 kgm at 7000 rpm. This motor is also mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The RTR 160 is available in blue, red, black, grey and white whereas the RTR 180 gets only two colours, black and blue. As of now, the RTR 160 is available in three drum, disc and Bluetooth variants.
