Ducati has unveiled the 2023 Ducati Diavel, the latest bike in the brand’s line-up to get the V4 Granturismo engine. It is the fourth bike to get this treatment after the Panigale, Streetfighter and Multistrada and will be available globally from January 2023.
The 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine on the Diavel V4 pumps out 166 bhp and 12.84 kgm of peak torque. Thanks to the new motor and other components, the Diavel V4 weighs 223 kg, a whole 13 kg less than the Diavel 1260. It also comes with an extended deactivation system that can shut off the rear bank of cylinders to save fuel when idling and also while riding at low engine speeds.
In terms of its styling, the new Diavel V4 gets a redesigned LED headlamp and quad-exhausts. The Diavel V4 is equipped with a 50 mm upside-down fork suspension at the front and a single-sided swingarm with a mono-shock at the rear. It comes with dual 330mm discs up front paired with Brembo Stylema callipers and a 265mm disc at the rear.
The bike comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument console and has features such as three power modes and four riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. It also gets traction control and ABS with cornering functions, launch control, wheelie control, a bidirectional quick shifter and cruise control. The Diavel V4 could soon reach Indian shores by the second half of next year.
