India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of the 2023 KX250 in India. The updated KX250 will be available in Lime Green colour only and the price will be starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). This track-only motorcycle will be imported via the completely built-up form in the country.
Kawasaki has made several technical changes to this motorcycle for the model year 2023. The company claims that the updated liquid-cooled 249cc four-stroke engine delivers improved performance across the rpm range. Further, it is said to be the most powerful KX250 developed to date. The updated KX250 also gets new gearing, revised suspension settings, and new tyres aimed to offer improved handling when cornering. Other changes to the motorcycle include lighter and wider footpegs, longer exhaust header pipe, and advanced ignition timing.
The KX250 engine gets finger-follower valve actuation, revised processing for the throats of intake and exhaust ports, and a higher rate for valve spring to match a higher rev limit. It also features a revised combustion chamber design, a flatter piston crown, a revised crankcase design, and a hydraulic clutch. Further, it gets launch control mode and three engine map choices.
The KX250 benefits from new hardware such as an aluminium perimeter frame, petal disc brake, Renthal aluminium Fatbar, Kawasaki’s ERGO FIT adjustable handle and footpeg positions, and slimmer shrouds. The bookings for the motorcycle have commenced, with deliveries scheduled to start in the second week of November 2022.
