Hyundai‘s mini-SUV, the Exter, is here, and it is available at an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 9.31 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). You can choose from five variants — EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.
Yes, it still features an H-shaped LED daytime running light with a halogen projector up front and LED tail lights. On the sides, it has flared wheel arches which house dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there’s an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, OTA updates, and a factory-installed dashcam, among other things. On the safety front, the Exter aces it as it gets six airbags as standard, along with ESC, hill assist control, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors and cameras, to name a few.
As for the powertrain, the Exter uses a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 82 bhp and 11.63 kgm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT (paddle shifters). On the factory-fitted CNG-petrol version, it develops 68 bhp and 9.70 kgm of torque, which only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.
