Ducati announces the launch of the Diavel V4 in the Indian market at Rs 25.91 lakh (ex-showroom), along with the onboarding of Actor Ranveer Singh as the brand ambassador for India. Deliveries of the motorcycle are scheduled to begin immediately across all Ducati stores in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh.
Powered by Ducati’s 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine producing 168 bhp and 12.8 kgm of torque, the Diavel V4 replaces the old L-twin Testastretta unit that powered the previous iterations. Based on an aluminium monocoque frame, it gets a 50 mm fully adjustable USD fork at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The braking setup consists of dual 330 mm discs with Brembo Stylema callipers at the front and a single disc at the rear. The motorcycle rides on cast aluminium wheels with machined spokes.
The Diavel V4 is one of the most aggressive-looking bikes in Ducati’s line-up, featuring an LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs and large air intakes on either side. The bike comes with a 5-inch digital instrument console, three power modes and four riding modes. The Diavel V4 further comes with a suite of safety systems, including a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control and a quick-shifter.
As for Ranveer Singh, he has been a huge fan of the Ducati brand and is looking forward to getting back to motorcycling with the Diavel V4. While he promotes the Ducati brand across various channels, he will also join Ducati at various experiential events in India and abroad, namely Bharat GP, MotoGP races in the Asia-Pacific region, and World Ducati Week, Ducati’s biggest motorcycle festival in the world, which takes place biennially at Misano, Italy.
