World’s most awaited motorcycle show — EICMA is just a week away, and Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has announced that it will have a stall at the event.
Ultraviolette had revealed its intention of going global and EICMA is a great platform to start. The company could display its Europe-spec F77 electric bike, and new concept or platform for its upcoming products.
The F77 packs a mid-mounted motor belting 38.89 bhp and 9.68 kgm. Its 10.3-kWh lithium-ion battery pack is the biggest on a two-wheeler in India, and has a claimed range of 302 km. All of this goes into an equally capable chassis. But with a price tag of Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, the F77 doesn’t come cheap.
At the launch event, the company had revealed its ambitious plans of not just setting up a vast charging network, but starting its own racing league. And to show how serious it is about getting into racing, the Ultraviolette F99 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Perhaps, EICMA could be the platform for its new electric ADV.
