IIT Madras and Stellantis have organized a Technical Idea Hackathon for Cost Optimizing Ideas for the Automobile Industry.
The hackathon saw the participation of over five hundred engineering students who participated in a team-based format generating over a hundred ideas to reduce and optimize costs in the industry.
The hackathon itself was split into workshops, and brainstorming sessions to address pressing challenges with each team being allowed to present their top three ideas on the theme of cost optimization.
A total of 6 student innovation teams were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 4 Lakhs in total. Giving away the award was the COO of Stellantis India & Asia Pacific, Mr. Ashwani Muppasani. He stated that the event was an encouragement to newer ideas and embracing breakthroughs all towards a goal for clean, safe and affordable mobility for all.
