Ask any cricket fan what’s the importance of a century; there’s a huge chance he/she will say they wished Rohit Sharma had scored one on November 19, 2023, but let’s move on from that (oh I wish). When a car maker celebrates 100 years, it’s a testament to its resilience and the ability to come out on top regardless of challenges. Celebrating 100 years globally, MG Motor decided to give us special editions of the Comet, Hector, Astor, and the ZS EV.
Did you notice a certain name missing? The Gloster; now that should give you a hint of what may be on the cards next from MG, but let’s focus here for now. The Comet, Hector, Astor, and the ZS EV are now available in a limited-edition ‘Evergreen’ Edition, which will be exclusive to certain variants. The green colour signifies the history of British racing culture, and is inspired by the shade on the MG Midget.
The Evergreen Edition models come with a dual-tone green and black paint scheme, with a starry black-finished rooftop, and other dark elements such as the ORVMs and lower claddings. The tailgate also receives a special ‘100-year Edition’ badge. Additionally, the interiors follow an all-black theme with the ‘100-Year Edition’ embroidered in the front headrests. Also, the infotainment units on all Evergreen edition cars will bear a green theme.
