Royal Enfield has finally launched the much-awaited tubeless wire-spoked wheels for the Himalayan 450. The ADV motorcycle was launched almost a year ago and was only offered with tubed spoked wheels, which was a bit of a hassle to manage, in terms of punctures and the subsequent repair.
New Himalayan 450 customers now get the option of tubeless wire-spoked wheels which are available as an accessory through Royal Enfield’s ‘Make it Yours’ platform and are priced at Rs 11000. Starting from October 3 onwards, current Himalayan 450 owners can also buy the new tubeless rims from their closest dealership. This, however, will cost them Rs 12424.
The new tubeless wire-spoked wheels add a new layer to the capability of the Himalayan 450, offering reliability on adventures. In case of a puncture, they can be patched up without removing the tyre off the rim.
