A short while after teasing its upcoming electric motorcycle with a reel on Instagram, a near production-ready model was spotted in the streets of Barcelona, being ridden by none other than Royal Enfield top-brass, Siddartha Lal.
Staying consistent with the design from the leaked patent images, the bike features a slim profile, with components seen on other Royal Enfield motorcycles, like the LED headlight, indicators, mirrors, and more.
Set to make its debut at EICMA 2024, the EV will most likely carry the Flying Flea nomenclature, paying homage to the Second World War motorcycle from Royal Enfield. The EV also gets alloy wheels, a girder suspension, and most importantly, a fixed battery unit from the looks of it. We can also spot pillion footpegs, which means that it could be a two-seater after all.
While there’s no information about the electric motorcycle’s specifications, we can say that it will be an interesting product, being Royal Enfield’s first electric offering.
