The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has achieved a 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests, establishing it as Maruti Suzuki’s safest model in India to date.

Submitted voluntarily by Maruti Suzuki for testing, the India-spec Dzire scored 31.24 out of 34 points for adult occupant safety and 39.20 out of 49 for child
protection.

A key factor in the Dzire’s high safety rating is its reinforced body-shell, rated as stable and capable of withstanding further loading. This structural stability is a major improvement over the previous generation, which scored only two stars in Global NCAP tests.

The new Dzire features refreshed styling and a redesigned interior. Under the bonnet, it’s powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z Series engine, delivering 88 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 11 kgm at 4400 rpm. This naturally aspirated engine is available with either a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT).
