KTM’s 2025 250 Adventure is all set to offer an exciting blend of performance, durability, and modern tech, giving adventure riders a smaller, yet capable alternative to the upcoming 390 Adventure. Positioned within the same split-trellis frame as its bigger sibling, the 250 Adventure shares much of its bodywork, but with one key difference — the powertrain.
At the heart of the 250 Adventure is a 249.07cc single-cylinder DOHC engine that churns out 30.6 horsepower and 2.54 kgm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and a slip and assist clutch to smooth out the ride and prevent wheel hopping during aggressive downshifting. Perfect for tackling diverse terrains, this setup ensures riders experience both power and control on every journey.
The 250 Adventure is equipped with 43 mm WP Apex USD front forks with 200 mm of travel and a WP Apex rear mono-shock with 205 mm of travel. These give the bike the flexibility to handle everything from highway cruising to off-road trails. The 250 also boasts robust braking with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS, ensuring that stopping power matches its performance.
On the design side, the 250 Adventure keeps a familiar, rugged appearance with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. A more off-road-ready version, with wire-spoke wheels and a 21-inch front, could be in the cards, similar to the 390 Adventure. At 160 kg (Dry) with a seat height of 825 mm and generous ground clearance of 232 mm, the 250 Adventure promises an accessible, thrilling ride on any terrain.
Riders can enjoy modern tech, too. A quick-shifter, ride-by-wire throttle, off-road ABS, and a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity bring the bike into the digital age. The 14-litre fuel tank ensures a range upwards of 400 km, as per the official website, ideal for long-distance adventures. With knuckle guards, a tall windscreen, and LED headlights, the 250 Adventure is as prepared for the elements as it is for adventure.
