Rolls-Royce has elevated its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Spectre Black Badge in India, priced at a staggering Rs 9.5 crore (ex-showroom). This ultra-luxurious electric coupe combines the brand’s signature opulence with a darker, more performance-oriented persona, marking a bold step forward in the realm of high-end electric mobility.
The Spectre Black Badge retains the elegant proportions of the standard Spectre but adds a dramatic, menacing twist. The exterior is draped in deep black hues, complemented by darkened chrome accents and the signature Black Badge infinity symbol.

The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine is also finished in high-gloss black, while the wheels feature a unique carbon fiber and polished aluminum design. Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in bespoke luxury, with black leather upholstery, contrast stitching, and customizable ambient lighting that can be tailored to the owner’s preferences.
Under the sleek bodywork lies a powerful electric powertrain that delivers 584 bhp and 91.77 kgm of torque, propelling the Spectre Black Badge from 0-100 kph in just 4.3 seconds. While Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the exact battery capacity, the standard Spectre offers a range of 530 km (WLTP), and the Black Badge is expected to match or exceed this figure. The car features advanced regenerative braking and adaptive air suspension, ensuring a serene, cloud-like ride quality that Rolls-Royce is renowned for.
The Spectre Black Badge is a technological tour de force, featuring Rolls-Royce’s ‘Spirit’ digital architecture, which includes a fully digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen with over-the-air updates. The cabin is adorned with premium materials such as open-pore wood, hand-woven carpets, and optional starlight headliners. Rear-seat passengers are treated to massaging seats, a champagne cooler, and a bespoke audio system tuned specifically for the Black Badge’s acoustics.
Limited to just a handful of units in India, the Spectre Black Badge is positioned above the standard Spectre (priced at Rs 7.5 crore) and competes with other ultra-luxury EVs like the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV and Bentley’s upcoming electric models. With its arresting design, formidable performance, and unparalleled craftsmanship, it sets a new benchmark for what an electric luxury vehicle can be. Deliveries in India are expected to begin later this year.
