What are they?

The H2Go Pro is a pair of waterproof socks from Rynox.

Are they any good?

The monsoon is back, and so are the flooded roads. Wading through them is one thing — but spending the day in soaked socks at work or college? That’s a tactical failure. Enter the H2Go Pro waterproof socks — the unsung hero of the urban monsoon game.

The socks have a 100 per cent waterproof hydrophobic polyurethane membrane packed between the outer and inner layer of the socks, keeping your feet dry. But shouldn’t that make your feet wet from sweat? Well, not really. The Drycore layer allows water vapour to escape, and though the feet aren’t fully dry after a long day, all they need is a few minutes of fresh air.

But washing and cleaning the socks? That’s a tiring affair. After a thorough wash with your hands on both the layers, they need to be dried first inside-out and then f lipped to dry out the outer layer – the entire process takes two days before you can start using them again. But hey, it’s worth the effort.

Although these are waterproof, water can still seep through. So, the length of the socks is 40 cm and the waterproofing is only up to 30 cm. So, as long as you aren’t going adventure-seeking in knee-deep water, you should be fine. And yes, these are to be worn with your rain pants to avoid water trickling down from above.

How much?

At Rs. 2950, they might seem expensive, but are a worthy investment if you ride regularly in monsoons. Oh, and they will last for more than a season if used properly.
