Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the fire-breathing AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé at ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom), injecting fresh adrenaline into its performance lineup. Slotting between the C-Class and E-Class coupes, this new two-door flagship merges track-ready engineering with grand-touring luxury, becoming the 10th AMG model in the brand’s India portfolio.
The CLE 53 amplifies the standard CLE’s flowing silhouette with AMG’s signature brutalism. The Panamericana grille, flared wheel arches, functional vents, and a quad-exhaust diffuser announce its intent, while 19-inch alloys (20-inch optional) fill the muscular stance. The fastback roofline and bootlid spoiler enhance aerodynamics without compromising elegance.

Inside, AMG-specific touches dominate: microfibre-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, sport seats with red stitching, and carbon-fiber trim. Twin digital screens—a 12.3-inch driver display with AMG-specific “Supersport” mode and an 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen—deliver performance telemetry (lap times, G-forces) alongside luxury tech like Burmester audio, wireless charging, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Under the hood lies a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six with a 48V mild-hybrid system, churning out 449 bhp and 57.10 kgm (600 Nm temporarily in Overboost). An electric compressor eliminates turbo lag, while the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 9G-TCT transmission and rear-biased 4MATIC+ AWD enable lightning-fast shifts and drift-ready dynamics. The CLE 53 rockets from 0–100 kph in 4.2 seconds, topping out at 250 kph (270 kph with the AMG Driver’s Package). Adaptive AMG Ride Control suspension, rear-axle steering, and five drive modes (including a drift-friendly Sport+) tailor the car from boulevard cruiser to a track star. The system even decouples the front axle for efficiency during relaxed cruising.
The CLE 53’s closest competitor, the BMW M2, undercuts it by ₹32 lakh but lacks its hybrid tech and grand-touring polish. Deliveries begin immediately, with bookings open at Mercedes dealerships nationwide.
