Kia India has officially unveiled the second-generation Seltos, with prices starting at ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated SUV, positioned aggressively in the fiercely competitive compact SUV segment, sees a comprehensive upgrade in design, technology, and features, with prices extending up to ₹19.99 lakh. Bookings for the new model are already underway for a token amount of ₹21,000.

Based on Kia’s global K3 platform, the new Seltos is larger than its predecessor, measuring 4,460mm in length with a 2,690mm wheelbase. It sports a bold new design language featuring a wide dark chrome grille, split LED DRLs, automatic flush-fitting door handles, and dynamic welcome lighting. It rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels and is offered in ten monotone shades, including two new options: Morning Haze and Magma Red.

The interior receives a massive technological leap, headlined by a panoramic 30-inch display panel. The cabin is packed with premium features, including a Bose eight-speaker sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory and relaxation functions, ventilated front seats, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Safety is a major focus, with a standard 24-feature package that includes six airbags. Furthermore, the Seltos now boasts Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 21 autonomous functions, a segment-leading offering.

Powering the new Seltos are three engine choices: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. These can be paired with a wide array of transmissions, including 6-speed manual, iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission), IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), 7-speed DCT, and a 6-speed automatic. The SUV is offered in four core trims—HTE, HTK, HTX, and GTX—with optional packages providing further customization.

The new Seltos enters the ring to challenge key rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the Honda Elevate, aiming to regain its stronghold with a compelling blend of style, technology, and safety. Also read our full Kia Seltos Review here
