Aprilia Racing recorded a historic result at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, securing its second consecutive one-two finish in MotoGP. Marco Bezzecchi led the result with victory, while teammate Jorge Martín finished second.
Bezzecchi’s win marked his fifth consecutive Grand Prix victory and his third of the 2026 season. The Italian started fourth on the grid after receiving a penalty in Q2, but quickly moved forward during the race. Despite contact on the opening lap that damaged the rear wing of his RS-GP26, he took the lead before the end of lap one and maintained it until the chequered flag.
The result places Bezzecchi among a small group of riders in the modern era to win five consecutive MotoGP races, joining legends such as Valentino Rossi and Marc Márquez. It is also his sixth victory with Aprilia in the premier class.
The Italian rider has also led every lap across the last five Grands Prix, taking his total laps led to 121. That figure surpasses the previous benchmark of 103 held by Jorge Lorenzo.
Martín delivered a steady race to secure second place. The Spaniard had already won the sprint race earlier in the weekend, giving him two podium finishes at Austin.
For Aprilia, the victory was its eleventh in the MotoGP era and its second at the Texas circuit following Maverick Viñales’s win in 2024. The manufacturer has now achieved three one-two finishes in the premier class, including two in successive races for the first time.
The Austin result also brings Aprilia’s overall tally in World Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing to 305 wins.
