TVS Motor Company has handed over 10 Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) as part of a new grassroots racing programme for children aged 10–14 years. The motorcycles will be used for the TVS Apache Junior Programme at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA).
The programme is designed to introduce young riders to the fundamentals of circuit racing, including discipline, precision, bike control and safety. Training will be conducted under experienced instructors and TVS Racing champions, with participants able to rent the purpose-built motorcycles as part of the programme.
TVS says the initiative will create a structured pathway for young riders to progress into competitive racing. After completing the junior programme, riders can move into the TVS OMC Rookie category from the age of 15, followed by the TVS OMC RR 310 Expert category and eventually the TVS Racing International Championship.
The initiative comes as TVS Apache marks 20 years of racing-derived performance and is part of the company’s broader effort to strengthen India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem.
