Mahindra has launched the 2026 Scorpio N facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 13.69 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing a host of technology and convenience upgrades to its popular ladder-frame SUV. While the rugged design and proven petrol and diesel powertrains remain unchanged, the latest update focuses on enhancing the cabin experience with larger displays, improved safety tech and new premium features.
The biggest highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the earlier 8.0-inch unit, and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster that takes the place of the previous semi-digital setup. Mahindra has also introduced a panoramic sunroof, a 540-degree surround-view camera with blind-view monitor, and a 65W USB Type-C fast charger for the front occupants. New ‘Adventure Statistics’ display off-road information such as roll and pitch angles, compass, altimeter, G-force and engine performance, adding to the SUV’s adventure-focused appeal.

On the outside, the Scorpio N retains its bold, upright styling with the signature six-slat grille, LED projector headlamps, C-shaped LED daytime running lamps and vertically stacked LED tail-lamps. The only visual update comes in the form of new 18-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels on higher variants, while the lower trims continue with the previous design. The SUV remains available in five exterior colours: Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Oceanic, Stealth Black and Deep Forest.
Feature-wise, the Scorpio N continues to offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Adrenox connected car technology with Alexa Built-in, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a powered driver’s seat, Sony 12-speaker audio system, electronic parking brake and six- or seven-seat configurations.
Safety has also been strengthened with six airbags, ESC, TPMS, hill hold and hill descent control, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts and driver drowsiness detection. The top-spec Z8L variant further benefits from Level 2 ADAS, offering features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist.
Under the bonnet, there are no mechanical changes. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine continues to produce 203 bhp and up to 38.74 kgm, while the 2.2-litre diesel is offered in two tunes, producing either 132 bhp/30.59 kgm or **175 bhp** with up to 40.78 kgm. Both engines are paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, while select diesel variants continue to offer Mahindra’s 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive system.
The updated Scorpio N is priced between Rs 13.69 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with prices rising by up to Rs 54,000 depending on the variant. Despite its body-on-frame construction, the Scorpio N continues to compete on price with monocoque three-row SUVs such as the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV7XO, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. Stay tuned to Motoring World we will be driving this new Scorpio N soon.
