Audi India is gearing up for one of its most pivotal launches with the third-generation Audi Q3. Positioned as a cornerstone model for the German brand in the country, the entry-level luxury SUV is scheduled to arrive in showrooms just in time for the festive rush. Prospective buyers can already reserve their unit for a booking amount of Rs. 1 lakh, with reservations open across authorised Audi India dealerships, the official website, and the myAudi connect mobile app.
On the outside, the gen-3 Q3 embraces Audi’s contemporary design philosophy, featuring a noticeable growth spurt. The overall length has stretched from 4,485 mm to 4,531 mm, translating to a more commanding road stance and expanded interior room. Up front, the fascia commands attention with an updated signature grille flanked by low-set headlights paired with standalone daytime running light (DRL) modules. Contrast-finished bumper accents, dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped in 18-inch rubber, and sharp body lines complete the SUV’s modern, athletic profile.

Inside, the cabin receives a comprehensive overhaul centred on digital integration and passenger comfort. Dominating the dashboard is an expansive dual-screen setup that handles both driver instrumentation and infotainment duties. Audi has also introduced a column-mounted drive selector to free up centre-console real estate, making room for a dedicated wireless charging pad and streamlined storage. Rear-seat passengers benefit from second-row air-conditioning vents with separate climate controls, while an expansive dual-pane panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light.
Under the hood lies one of the new Q3’s strongest selling points: a refined 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine mated to a dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Delivering a healthy 200 bhp and 32.63 kgm of peak torque, the powertrain gives the Audi a distinct mechanical edge over direct SUV rivals like the BMW X1 LWB, which relies on a smaller three-cylinder motor.
Once launched, the third-generation Q3 will enter a fiercely contested segment. Alongside the BMW X1 LWB, it will compete head-to-head against established alternatives like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the Mini Countryman, and four-door luxury alternatives such as the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.
