What’s hot?
For a scooter aimed at women, the Zest isn’t very girly. Okay, maybe in pink it is, but anything in pink is girly, no? It’s a sharp looking scooter and is a peppy performer too. It’s got the most space under its seat that we’ve seen in any of the scooters here. And to top it all of, it is one of the best handling scooters we have ridden.
What’s not?
What do we not like about the Scooty Zest? Not much really. If we were to nitpick, there were some uneven panel gaps and the stickers could have been done a tad better. Oh, and the front brakes lack bite.
Suzuki Let’s

What’s hot?
It’s the perfect size to zip in and out of traffic in. The engine is quite peppy too. More so with a light rider. It isn’t too heavy either, which makes it easier to chuck around by the fairer sex. It’s got everything it needs and nothing more. No frills here.
What’s not?
The no frills can also be a problem here. The Let’s actually has nothing else going for it other than a peppy engine and reasonable build quality.There are none of the fancy features like cellphone charging points and a fuel filler that doesn’t need you to open your seat. Sort of like a one trick pony then.
Yamaha Ray

What’s hot?
This has to be one of the best looking scooters in the market today. We especially like the ultra smooth motor. It’s got lots of drive when you twist the throttle and it also handles like a dream. We especially like the fact that Deepika Padukone endorses it. She can’t go wrong, right?
What’s not?
It’s one of the heaviest scooters of the lot, second only to the Activa. And 53 kpl is way lower than most of the other in the segment. Other than that, we really can’t find any faults with the Ray. Of course, if you’re not comfortable riding a ladies’ scooter, you can always get yourself the Ray Z for a few extra thousands.
Honda Activa

The Activa is the scooter that single handedly caused the rebirth of gearless scooters in India. On any given day you are bound to see at least a 457 Activas on the road. Why? Because the quality you get from the Activa is without doubt among the best. It has a bullet proof motor and a solid chassis. And nothing really ever goes wrong to it.
What’s not?
With the recent refresh, the Activa doesn’t look that old anymore. But its body is all steel. This means it is the heaviest here. It is also the only scooter here that still uses a trailing arm suspension up front, so handling is not something you would write home about.
