Royal Enfield has started delivering the Himalayan, winner of IMOTY 2024, a little while back, and customers can book the new bike at Rs 10,000. However, the Royal Enfield Himalayan has just received its first price hike of up to Rs. 16,000 which has the bike now starting at Rs. 2.85 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) for the base ‘Kaza brown’ variant while the ‘Hanle Black’ top end variant stands at Rs. 2.98 Lakh, compared to the initial introductory price of Rs. 2.69 Lakh and Rs. 2.84 Lakh respectively.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan features an all-new design to the Himalayan family, powered by the all-new liquid-cooled 452cc single-cylinder ‘Sherpa’ engine with 39.47 bhp and 4.07 kgm of torque. The bike also features an all-new TFT display with navigation and other features accessible through Royal Enfield’s bespoke riding app. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch, ride-by-wire and three ride modes, while the motorcycle gets a ground clearance of 230 mm and a seat height of 825mm.
