The 2024 KTM Duke lineup has now been launched in India, shortly after its international reveal, and also hot on the heels of the TVS Apache RTR 310. Prices for the 2024 KTM Duke lineup begin from Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 250 Duke. Meanwhile the 2024 KTM 390 Duke can be had from Rs 3.10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. Interestingly, the 2024 KTM 390 Duke is just Rs 13,040 dearer than its predecessor, while the new Duke 250 is merely Rs 779 costlier than the outgoing 250 Duke.
2024 KTM 390 Duke Hardware
The 2024 KTM 390 Duke is now powered by an all-new LC4c engine with a displacement of 399cc. 45.3 bhp comes up at 8500 rpm, while 3.9 kgm of torque comes at 6500 rpm. This engine now features a larger airbox, and it is paired to a six-speed transmission with a quickshifter as standard. Also on offer is a slipper clutch.
The new KTM 390 Duke is now built on a new trellis frame with an aluminum sub-frame. This setup makes use of WP Apex suspension on both ends — at the front, you get 43mm open-cartridge USD forks, with five-click compression and rebound adjustability. Meanwhile, the rear gets an offset monoshock with five-click rebound and ten-click pre-load adjustability. To bring the new 390 Duke to a halt, KTM has given it a 320mm disc with a radially-mounted caliper at the front, along with a 240mm disc with a floating caliper at the rear.
2024 KTM 250 Duke Hardware
While the bigger Duke receives an all-new engine, the 250 Duke continues with the same 249cc engine setup, which puts out 30.5 bhp at 9250 rpm, and 2.5 kgm of torque at 7250 rpm. This engine too is paired to a six-speed transmission along with a quickshifter. The 2024 KTM 250 Duke shares its frame with 390, and also receives WP Apex suspension on both ends. However, while the 43mm USD front forks are non-adjustable, the offset rear monoshock is adjustable for preload upto 10 clicks. The braking setup too is shared with the bigger Duke.
2024 KTM Duke Styling
In terms of styling, the third-gen KTM Duke lineup now looks closer to the bigger Super Duke sold internationally. The tank extensions are longer than before, while the headlamp and tail-lamp sections have gone through a complete redesign as well. Both motorcycles are available with two colour options — the new 390 Duke can be had in either Electronic Orange Metallic and Atlantic Blue, while the 250 Duke is available in Electronic Orange and Candy White. The new wheels are said to be lighter than before, and are similar to the ones available on the RC 390.
2024 KTM Duke Features
The 2024 KTM Duke lineup comes with a bunch of features on offer. Starting with the 390, which gets cornering ABS, along with a Supermoto mode to turn off the rear ABS, launch control, a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and track mode. Also on offer are three riding modes, along with ride-by-wire, an optional 820 mm seat, and a Type-C USB port among others.
The smaller 250 Duke also receives smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. However, it makes do with an LCD screen as opposed to the 390’s TFT unit. The 250 Duke also receives dual-channel ABS with a Supermoto mode, a quickshifter, and ride-by-wire.
