Further extending its portfolio in India, Piaggio India has launched the Aprilia SR125, a smaller sibling of the SR150, at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018 in New Delhi. The scooter is priced at Rs 65,310 ex-showroom, Pune. It is powered by a smaller 125cc, 3-valve mill with 14-inch wheels and wider profile tyres ensuring the same fun-riding experience as the SR150. The scooter gets new livery while a longer seat and raised grab rails provide additional comfort to the rider and pillion. The Aprilia SR125 is available across all Aprilia and Vespa dealerships in India.
Along with the launch the SR125, Aprilia also unveiled the Storm, a trendy and dynamic scooter especially designed for the youth. The scooter is aimed to provide fun riding experience along with the ease to travel for the daily commute. It features a dynamic exterior theme with attractive graphics, large windscreen and other accessories to personalise the scooter. The Storm is powered by a 125cc motor and sports 12-inch wheels with wide-profile tyres ensuring a unique experience for every rider.
Piaggio India also launched a new mobile connectivity app for the riders with allows them to operate and control the features of the Vespa and Aprilia via their mobile phones. It comes with panic alert function to inform the current location to the registered mobile number and option to book a service, locate service stations, petrol pumps and connect to customer care services. The app will soon be available on both Android and IOS platforms.
Also on display at the Piaggio pavilion were other products that are sold by the Italian brand in the international market like the Vespa GTS, Aprilia RS 150 and the Tuono 150.
