Bajaj has launched the NS125 making it the youngest sporty sibling in the Pulsar NS range. It isn’t the first 125cc motorcycle by Bajaj, of course, but the Pulsar NS125 looks almost identical to its elder NS160 and NS200 siblings. With a sticker price of Rs 93,630 (ex-showroom, Delhi) the NS125 isn’t the cheapest 125cc motorcycle if you compare it with the Pulsar 125 (Rs 73,363). Nevertheless, it is still a whole lot affordable than the KTM 125 Duke and RC 125.
Powering the Pulsar NS125 is a 12-bhp 124cc, air-cooled engine housed in its perimeter frame. It produces 12 bhp and 1.12 kgm of torque which is slightly more than the Pulsar 125, but not at par with the aforementioned KTMs. Up front, it gets a telescopic suspension, while it gets a monoshock at the rear. The tyre and brakes have directly been borrowed from the Pulsar 125, however. In all, the NS125 has a kerb weight of 144 kg and has a 12-litre fuel tank capacity.
There aren’t any tech features as such on the NS125, it still gets the semi-digital instrument console, halogen lights and the same wheel design as seen on other motorcycles in the NS family. Well, to add more funk and appeal to it, the NS125 is available in four different colours, which includes Beach Blue, Fiery Orange, Burnt Red and Pewter Grey.
