Hero MotoSports Team Rally has continued its strong performance at the Dakar Rally 2025, successfully completing the third stage with both riders making notable strides. Ross Branch finished the stage with the 4th fastest time, while his teammate, Nacho Cornejo, secured 13th place. These results have strengthened their positions in the overall standings.
Ross, the 2024 W2RC title holder, has maintained his 3rd position and made significant progress in narrowing the gap to the leader. By the end of Stage 3, he reduced his deficit by an impressive 10 minutes and 35 seconds, bringing him just 2 minutes away from the top spot. He is also only 7 seconds behind second place. Nacho, who has been showing consistent strength throughout the rally, is now in the top 10, sitting comfortably in 9th place overall.
The third stage was a demanding one, with competitors navigating rocky and challenging terrain in the Al Henakiyah region. The stage had to be modified due to severe storms, shortening the route from 496 km to 327 km. Despite the tricky navigation, Ross made the best out of the situation and regained valuable time, while Nacho demonstrated resilience and consistency.
Looking ahead, the rally moves into its marathon stages, starting with Stage 4, which promises even greater challenges. Riders will face volcanic landscapes, narrow canyons, and a tight timeline for bike maintenance. With both Ross and Nacho in strong positions, Hero MotoSports is well poised to take on the tough days ahead as the Dakar Rally progresses.
Ross Branch commented, ‘Stage 3 was a fun day, though the navigation was tricky. I’m happy with where I stand.’ Nacho Cornejo added, ‘It was a tough stage, but I’m ready to fight day by day.’
