It has only been two days since Ducati launched the BS6 2021 edition of the Diavel 1260 and the S variant in the country at Rs 18.49 lakh and Rs 21.49 lakh (both ex-showroom, India), respectively. Now, the Italian bike maker has announced the new variant of the power cruiser limited only to the S model. Called the Black and Steel edition, it takes its inspiration from the Diavel ‘Materico’ concept that was displayed during the 2019 Milan Design Week.
To be offered in select international markets, the Ducati Diavel S Back and Steel edition mainly comprises cosmetic upgrades that give the power cruiser a rather stealth look but with enough highlights to stand out in the crowd. It features a special livery with an asymmetrical graphic pattern of glossy grey and matte black design that is contrasted with bright yellow accents for the chassis, the lower section of the tail, seat badge and a thick stripe on the alloy wheels.
Mechanically, the motorcycle continues to remain the same retaining the 1262 liquid-cooled L-Twin mill that puts out 157.3 bhp at 9500rpm and 13.15 kgm of peak torque at 7500rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and features a host of electronic rider aids for an intimidating and engaging experience every time the throttle is twisted open.
Ducati will be showcasing the new Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel Edition at the upcoming 2021 edition of the MIMO Motor Show in Milan.
