The arrival of the Aprilia Tuono 457 was no secret, and though everyone knew that most of its specifications will be shared with the RS 457, it was still one of the highly anticipated motorcycles at the Milan show.

Just like we expected, the Aprilia Tuono 457 is just an RS 457 sans fairing and of course, with a one-piece handlebar. And thanks to this, the Tuono gets to flaunt its aluminium frame. But unlike the Tuono 660 or the Tuono V4, the smallest one doesn’t get a half fairing, and the headlight unit looks a bit too compact, at least in the pictures.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 continues with the same liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that puts out 47 bhp and 4.5 kgm of torque. Just like its faired sibling, the Tuono also gets a 6-speed gearbox and ride-by-wire. So, there are three riding modes: Rain, Eco and Sport along with three-level traction control. All the electronics can be accessed via a 5-inch TFT instrument console.

Bits like the preload-adjustable USD forks at the front and monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends backed by dual-channel ABS have not been tinkered with.

We expect Aprilia to showcase the bike at the India Bike Week 2024, and follow up with a launch next year. Considering that the RS 457 retails at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom), this could be priced under Rs 4 lakh. Now, won’t that be a treat to us and a threat to the KTM 390 Duke?
