Need a seat that’s easily sat on? Here you go! Harley-Davidson, besides updating its current product portfolio with 2020 models, has also launched the new Low Rider S in the country. While the standard 2020 Low Rider demands a price tag of Rs 13.75 lakh, the more premium S variant has been launched carrying a sticker tag of Rs 14.69 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
Along with the additional ‘S’, the company has given the motorcycle a slew of upgrades in terms of looks and hardware. Design-wise, the silhouette of the Low Rider S is similar to that of the standard model; however, it gets a blacked-out theme with few chromed components and matte dark-bronze alloy wheels compared to the chrome-bling ones of the standard one.
Also, to give the motorcycle a sportier look, it comes with a body-coloured cowl for the headlamp and a flatter wide-style handlebar for an aggressive riding triangle. Even the seat comes with a rider-only layout as compared to the rider+pillion seat on the standard.
Coming to the hardware, it gets a larger-displacement motor in the form of the Milwaukee-Eight 114 unit which is a 1868cc V-twin that punches out 15.3 kgm of peak torque. On the suspension front, the bike gets an inverted fork as opposed to the telescopic one on the normal variant. The rear continues to be suspended by a monoshock hidden in the Softail frame. For better stopping power, the Low Rider S comes with a twin-disc setup at the front and a single disc at the rear. Lastly, Harley-Davidson has also revised the rake angle to 28 degrees, 2 degrees sharper for a more responsive handling experience.The 2020 Harley-Davidson is available in two colour options, Vivid Black and Barracuda Silver. It might be called the Low Rider, but it’ll keep your spirits high, that’s for sure.
