Harley-Davidson has unveiled the new Sprint 440, a compact cruiser developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp. The motorcycle will make its public debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy, from November 5 to 8. While the company is yet to confirm its India launch timeline, the Sprint 440 is expected to be here by the end of this year.

The Sprint 440 is powered by an air- and oil-cooled, 440cc single-cylinder engine producing 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. The motorcycle has a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 34 kmpl and a 9-litre fuel tank.

Compared to the X440, the Sprint 440 adopts a more traditional cruiser design, featuring a low 671mm seat height, a narrow profile and forward-set foot controls. It weighs 187kg (kerb) and gets a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup. Suspension duties are handled by a 43mm inverted front fork and twin rear shock absorbers with seven-step preload adjustment. Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends, with ABS as standard.

Other features include a circular 3.5-inch colour TFT display, LED lighting and a USB-C charging port. Harley-Davidson will also offer accessories such as saddlebags, a backrest, a detachable windscreen and alternative seat options.

The Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 will target the likes of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Jawa Perak and Yezdi Bobber.
