Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Glamour X at ₹89,999 for the drum variant and ₹99,999 for the disc (ex-showroom Delhi). While 125cc motorcycles are usually about efficiency and affordability, this one crams in features that even some higher-capacity bikes miss out on.
The Glamour X 125 is powered by the same 124.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder Sprint-EBT engine from the Xtreme 125R producing 11.4 bhp at 8250 rpm and 1.05 kgm of torque at 6500 rpm. It uses optimised gear ratios, an engine balancer, and a silent cam chain for smooth power delivery and low vibration. Stopping duties are handled by either drum brakes or a front disc (depending on the variant), while tubeless tyres provide added convenience and safety.
The motorcycle introduces tech like ride-by-wire throttle, three selectable ride modes (Eco, Road and Power), and even cruise control — rare equipment for anything under 200cc. It also packs a Panic Brake Alert to warn trailing vehicles during emergency stops, and a first-of-its-kind low-battery kick-start function through Hero’s AERA electronic platform.
Styling hasn’t been left behind either. A full LED lighting package, multi-colour LCD console with Bluetooth, navigation, and distance-to-empty readout add to its premium feel. Practical touches such as a Type-C charging port, and an enclosed utility box ensure that it stays true to its commuter roots.
Despite stacking up features unheard of in this class, Hero has kept the Glamour X 125 under the ₹1 lakh slab. But are those features enough to make this bike an interesting proposition? Our review goes live on August 22.
