Alfonso Morini founded Moto Morini, one of the most well-known Italian motorcycle manufacturers, in 1937. In the 1950s and 1960s, it was also known for producing lightweight, quick race bikes.
This year, it has decided to enter the Indian markets with Tourer, Adventure Tourer, Retro Street and Scrambler models. Starting with 650cc motorcycles like the Seiemmezzo 6 1/2 Retro Street and Scrambler, X-Cape 650 and X-Cape 650X.
For Tourer and Adventure Tourer, Moto Morini is offering the X-Cape. It is powered by a 649cc inline twin-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled engine that produces 59 bhp at 8250 rpm and 5.50 kgm at 7000 rpm. Suspension duties are carried by Marzocchi’s large 50-mm diameter front adjustable fork and KYB shock absorbers at the rear. It also comes with 19-inch Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, Brembo brakes and Bosch Dual Channel ABS. It also has an 18-litre fuel tank. As for features, it comes with a large 7-inch TFT screen, adjustable windscreen, and full-LED headlights, among other things.
Coming to the Seiemmezzo 6 1/2 range, it comes in two models namely, a Retro Street version (naked bike) and a Scrambler version. The Seiemmezzo range is powered by a 649cc inline two-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled engine that delivers 54 bhp at 8250 rpm and 5.50 kgm of torque at 7000 rpm. Its 20Cr-Mo Steel frame is complemented by KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tyres and Bosch dual-channel ABS. Also, it comes with a full-LED projector headlight along with DRL and a 5-inch TFT screen, to name a few.
Prices for these motorcycles are still unknown, but we do know that Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) is Motor Morini’s official partner in India. This means AARI will manufacture and distribute Moto Morini’s motorcycles in India. By the way, AARI is an authorised dealer for Benelli and Keeway motorcycles. Stay tuned for more information on them.
