Ola Electric has just launched its Roadster X series, built on the company’s new scalable motorcycle platform. This new series looks to offer a combination of cutting-edge technology, performance, and affordability, all wrapped into one smart package.

Priced starting at Rs 74,999 for the Roadster X and going up to Rs 1.55 lakh for the top-tier Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, the Roadster series brings a variety of options for different needs and budgets. With models offering 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh battery variants, the Roadster X has something for everyone. The Roadster X+ variant, with its new 4680 Bharat Cell and a claimed 501 km range per charge, takes things further, offering superior range and power for long-distance riders.

The Roadster X comes equipped with a 7 kW mid-drive motor delivering a claimed top speed of up to 118 kph, depending on the battery variant. The motorcycle offers impressive acceleration numbers, with the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh variants going from 0 to 40 kph in just 3.1 seconds. For those looking at sheer performance, the Roadster X+ with its 11 kW motor offers a claimed top speed of 125 kph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kph in just 2.7 seconds.

The Roadster X series comes with a lot of innovative features, including first-in-segment brake-by-wire technology, MoveOS 5 with advanced regeneration, cruise control, and reverse mode. Additionally, the motorcycles are designed with flat cables — an innovation that is claimed to improve weight efficiency, durability, and thermal performance.

With three different riding modes (Sports, Normal, and Eco), a 4.3-inch LCD screen, and advanced smart connectivity, the Roadster X series offers an all-rounded, tech-savvy riding experience. Deliveries for the Roadster X series are expected to begin in mid-March 2025.
