Kawasaki’s adventure tourer, the Versys 650, now gets a BS6 update after its bigger sibling, the Versys 1000, received one in May this year. The Versys 650 is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which is mated to a 6-speed ‘box. Other than the change to the new emissions norms, not much else has changed on the Versys save for new decals.
The Versys 650 comes standard with a high-tensile steel diamond frame, 21-litre fuel tank, 170 mm ground clearance, inverted front fork and an adjustable windscreen, all of which are carried over from the outgoing model. The Versys 650 is now priced at Rs 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom, and is only available in Candy Lime Green.
