Triumph Motorcycles has introduced its limited-edition Rocket 3 models overseas, created to honor the legacy of renowned stunter Evel Knievel. Offered in the R and GT trims, these motorcycles stand out as visually unique versions of the standard Rocket 3, honouring Knievel’s legendary persona.

The Evel Knievel edition of the Rocket 3 draws inspiration from the legendary stuntman’s fearless spirit and iconic style. While Knievel himself never used the Rocket for his stunts, these limited editions capture his essence through bold graphics that echo his famous jumpsuit. The fuel tank, finished in chrome, is decorated with black stripes, stars, and the prominent Triumph logo. Each bike boasts Knievel’s signature etched onto a gold cam cover plate, features a special start-up screen animation, and comes with a hardback book detailing his remarkable career and connection with Triumph motorcycles.

Despite the distinct design updates, the limited-edition models retain the impressive mechanical specifications of the standard Rocket 3 R and GT. At their heart lies a 2,500cc three-cylinder engine, which produces a staggering 165 bhp of power and 22.5 kgm of peak torque making it the largest engine to be ever fitted in a production motorcycle.

The R and GT trims cater to different riding preferences. The Rocket 3 R features a clean, minimalist roadster design, while the Rocket 3 GT offers a  more cruiser-style layout, featuring a taller flyscreen, forward-set foot-pegs, and a pillion grab rail for added comfort on longer journeys.

The standard Rocket 3 R and GT models are priced at ₹21.99 lakh and ₹22.59 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with only 500 units of the Evel Knievel edition being produced, it’s unlikely that this exclusive model will be available in the Indian market.

The legendary stuntman performed most of his breathtaking stunts on the Triumph T120 Bonneville which was powered by a 650cc parallel-twin engine with around 46 bhp, it was light, nimble, and just right for the daring jumps that defined his career. Now, with the launch of the Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition, it’s fascinating to imagine if Knievel himself could have tamed this 2,500cc powerhouse for his stunts.
