Suzuki Motorcycle India has given the V-Strom 650XT ABS a much-needed BS6-update. Showcased earlier at the 2020 Auto Expo, the ADV has been launched for a price of Rs 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Like before, it comes in two colours – Champion Yellow No. 2 and Pearl Glacier White. Apart from the BS6-update, there are no changes at all.
Although there has been a significant increase in price from the BS4 model; upwards of Rs 1.3 lakh. The V-Strom is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin engine which produces 70 bhp and 6.32 kgm of torque. That torque figure is now produced 200 rpm earlier than before.
Other than that, it still gets a three-mode traction control system (2 levels + off), halogen headlamp and an LCD instrument cluster. Do you think the increase in price would deter you from owning Suzuki’s middle-weight ADV?
