Uttar Pradesh has entered into, what is for us a very significant agreement with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for the MotoGP racing championship. This partnership will bring back the annual hosting of the MotoGP race at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, starting in 2025.
The agreement was formalised between Invest UP, the state’s investment promotion agency, and Dorna Sports S.L. To oversee the MotoGP event, the Uttar Pradesh government has established an executive committee which shall not only see to the logistics but also ensure that the race is ready to be hosted without hiccups that have been previously witnessed.
Dorna Sports, known for its organising of MotoGP events globally, will be responsible for the execution of each race. Dorna Sports currently, manages 34 races in 19 countries.
