Yamaha has just announced a new colour scheme for the YZF-R15S Version 3.0. The ‘Unibody seat’ variant of the Super Sports model will now be available in a new shade of ‘Matte Black’ giving it a stealthy appearance. The new paint scheme is in addition to the already available Racing Blue colour in the R15S. Pricing for the YZF-R15S Version 3.0 model range starts at Rs 1.6 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
The Matte Black YZF-R15S will retain the standard features and specifications of the model which offers a 155cc single-cylinder SOHC 4V petrol engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and Assist and Slipper Clutch. This mill produces 18.1 bhp of power and 1.43 kgm of torque. The engine also gets a modern liquid cooling system and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
It gets 17-inch wheels and also comes with a telescopic suspension setup at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear. Adding to its track racing ability is its low 142 kg kerb weight. Along with the launch of this new shade, Yamaha has also raised the price of the motorcycle. This comes in addition to the recent price hike most Yamaha products received last month.
