The Aura is available with three BS6-compliant engine options, a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.2-litre turbo-diesel and the pièce de résistance, a 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol engine. Now, the turbo-petrol is our favourite engine of the bunch, but before we talk about that, let’s take a look at the other engines on offer. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine is smooth and efficient and moves the Aura along nicely. You can also have the 1.2-litre engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit that’s fully integrated into the car. And then there is the 1.2-litre EcoTorq diesel engine. It happens to be the smallest BS6-compliant diesel on the market, which superbly balances performance and efficiency.
