Exceeding pre-Expo expectations, Vietnam’s leading EV manufacturer VinFast put on a stellar show at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, taking the wraps off its promising range of EVs across categories. The headline acts were, of course, the VF 6 and VF 7, both scheduled for an India launch around the festive season later this year.
While the crowds flocked to everything from the small but intelligently packaged VF3 to the VF Wild concept, the more intent gazes were fixed on the VF 6 and VF 7. The VF 6 is a 5-seater electric SUV that you will be able to buy in two variants – Eco and Plus. It boasts contemporary styling – as with all other VinFast cars – with a pleasing Euro-SUV design and, undoubtedly, aims at delivering high on the premiumness quotient. 
The VF 6 features a 59.6kWh cell with two different motor outputs. The Eco variant gets a 178 hp, 250 Nm motor while the Plus variant gets a 204 hp, 310 Nm motor, with either output figures promising strong, enjoyable performance. With between 381 – 399 km of range (WLTP), a 12.9-inch touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS and over-the-air (OTA) updates, the VF 6 sure has the potential to impress those looking for an SUV with a great blend of style, tech and practicality.
The VF 7 is the larger of the pair, meant to be positioned higher. If you think it looks dynamic, wait till you hear about what it has to offer. Like the VF 6, the VF 7, too, will be available in Eco and Plus variants, with both being powered by a 75.3kWh battery pack. However, while the Eco makes 204 hp and 310nm of torque, the Plus variant generates 354 hp and 500 Nm of torque! Staggering numbers, those!
In addition to Level 2 ADAS, optional all-wheel drive (AWD), the VF 7 also features a panoramic glass roof (you really have to see it to believe it), a 15–inch touchscreen and, not to mention, 431 – 450 km of range (WLTP)!
