The new Swift reverts to the conventional 4-door look

The engine, for example. The 2024 Swift lets go of the four-cylinder K-series engine, and in its place comes a new Z12E, three-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 80.8 bhp and 11.4 kgm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed transmission or an AMT.

No ADAS panel hidden here

While the new Swift somewhat retains the silhouette and stance of the outgoing car, it gets a completely new front-end bearing a new nose, new headlights, a new bumper and fog lights as well. Although, you won’t find the ADAS panel hidden here, unlike in the global model. Maruti Suzuki has reverted to the conventional four-door look for the 2024 Swift, as opposed to the three-door look of the outgoing car. There is a crease running along the entire shoulder-line of the car, and things aren’t too different at the rear either, with new tail lights and a new bumper.

The all-black cabin has a similar layout to the one on the Baleno

The interiors of the Swift have been thoroughly revamped and seem to be inspired by the Baleno, with a 9-inch touch screen unit taking centrestage. We are also glad to see Maruti Suzuki hasn’t gone completely digital, with the new Swift retaining the twin-analogue dials. The equipment list includes a 9-inch touch screen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, a 4.2-inch multi-infto display, hill-assist, rear A/C vents, ESP, and connected car features via the Suzuki Connect App.

This question must be on everyone’s minds; safety. For now, we can tell you that the new Swift comes with six airbags as standard across all variants, and you also get seatbelts for all five passengers.
