Audi has revealed a facelifted version of its top-of-the-line SUV — the RS Q8. The new RS Q8 packs in 591 bhp and 81.57 kgm of torque. While these numbers may seem impressive to you, there’s an even crazier version of the RS Q8 that Audi has also revealed — Audi RS Q8 Performance. This SUV produces 631 bhp and 86.67 kgm of torque, making it Audi’s most powerful ICE vehicle.

Both the RS Q8s get twin-turbo eight-cylinder engines. The RS Q8 can reach triple digit speeds in 3.8 seconds while the RS Q8 Performance can do the same 0.2 seconds faster. The electrically limited top speed is 250 kph, which can be increased to a maximum of 305 kph as an option.

Audi’s all-while drive system, Quattro, comes standard on both the SUVs. In terms of transmission, the RS Q8s get eight-speed Tiptronic gearboxes paired to the V8s. Specifically tuned adaptive air suspension also comes as standard on these models. There are quite some options for the tires too, in 22 and 23-inch sizes.

There are plenty of paint options on offer, including three new metallic ones — Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red. Customers can also opt for custom paint jobs. The RS Q8 gets black exterior mirrors, front spoiler elements, window trims and rear diffuser, while the RS Q8 Performance gets these elements in matte grey. You can, of course, get these exterior elements in matte carbon or high-gloss black as options on the RS Q8 Performance.

For the interiors, you can opt for red or grey-themed packages. A blue-themed interior package is also available, exclusive to the RS Q8 Performance. There are hints of Alcantara, Dinamica microfiber and recycled PET fibers all over the place.

Audi has set a new Nurburgring Nordschleife lap record with the RS Q8 Performance, with a lap time of 7:36.698 minutes, the fastest for a production SUV.
